Timberline Tours Whitewater Training Seminar 2008
Whitewater rafting in Vail, Beaver Creek, and Summit County Colorado,
is some of the best in the country. Why not learn how to paddle
or row your way down some of the country's premier stretches of
river? Every spring Timberline Tours offers a training program,
and it is taught by some of the country's top river guides; U.S.
Raft Team Members, Adventure Racers... guides with over 15 years of
experience.
This years training program will have a slightly different structure
than in years past.

The seminar will begin on Friday and will run through Sunday. At the end of the three day seminar we will select approximately 4-6 people to continue training through the following week in order to become a “certified guide”.

River skills gained in this seminar are as follows:
• Gear and Equipment Maintenance
• Basic river reading skills – eddies, ferry angles, river obstacles
• Boat handling – paddle and oar frame
• River etiquette and communication
• River safety – basic rope, throw bag, swimmers, gear, put in and take out
